Jumping Off the Fence….By: M. Renee Armstrong
“It doesn’t matter which side of the fence you get off on sometimes. What matters most is getting off. You cannot make progress without making decisions.” ~Jim Rohn
You toss and turn and wake up at all hours of the night. Why? You are worried. Questions rattling around in your head keep waking you up; how am I going to pay the mortgage, will they really repossess my car, when will these creditors stop calling, how am I going to tell my child he can’t go out with his friends because we can’t afford it…
This is a nasty cycle that so many families are struggling with today. Life happens. Whether you lost a job, took a pay cut or the bills just got out of hand, you need help. Sometimes bankruptcy is the answer. It is time to make the decision to jump off the fence, grab the situation by the horns and move forward.
We make decisions everyday yet we stick our head in the sand when it comes to taking control of our finances. We become complacent and get into a dangerous mindset of I want it bigger and better……..oh yeah, and charge it! Before long, our bigger and better becomes due and then past due. Pretty soon we start robbing Peter to pay Paul and then……………Peter comes to collect!
Juggling all of these balls can be very stressful. This stress can affect your life in ways you never imagined. Just ask yourself this…Is it worth my marriage, my kids, my life. The answer is no; it is NEVER worth your marriage, kids or life.
Making the decision to speak with a licensed attorney about your financial situation is the first step to regaining control of your life and keeping your sanity and you will probably leave with a sense of peace and direction. Why is this…………..you jumped off the fence and found that there is someone down here who can help you carry your burden.
